The world is full of the tombstones of great ideas never fully executed

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: learn to focus and execute.

Ideas are, as the saying goes, a dime a dozen.

Teach yourself to focus. Learn the beauty of execution. Of taking an idea all the way to the finish. Of simplifying your life and focusing on the important things. It’s required if you want to be successful.

Find happiness in the steady, unsexy, un-shareable art of putting in the work.

And, by the way, now is the time. Now is always the time for this advice, but right now, during this time of health and financial uncertainty and crisis, it is even more important.

There has never been a great idea that didn’t take rigorous, unflinching, patient hard work. There has never been a successful person that didn’t work hard over a long period of time to get there.

So please, for the sake of your goals, for the sake of your hopes, to help you survive during this tough time, to give yourself the best chance to do what it is that you want to do…

Get to work.
