1 really good reason not to join my email newsletter…and 5 reasons why of course you should.
Let’s start with the reality of the situation: You’re not looking for more emails.
I get it. Email stress is a real thing. Not everyone is like me — I love email, no kidding — and that’s ok! So that’s your first (and only) reason for hesitating on signing up for my email newsletter. But, ironically and self-servingly, that’s actually a big reason why you should* sign up.
Hold up, if I’ve learned anything about getting people to take action it’s that you want to have your call-to-action above the fold (before the end of the first page.) So let’s get that out of the way:
Ok, back to business. I already told you why you shouldn’t sign up for my email (how’s that reverse-psych working on ya?), so here are the reasons you should sign up:
Reason #1: You’ll be missing out if you don’t
In my weekly email, I’ll be sharing exclusive content. Things that I won’t blog about, maybe because they aren’t worthy of a long blog post, but that are important or that I’ve found to help me lead a more productive, more purposeful life.
Reason #2: You’ll get more context on my weekly blog posts
Often times I’ll write a post and throughout the week, people will comment and ask questions in various social media platforms. When I summarize and share the posts in my weekly email, I’ll add more context and flavor to what I wrote.
Reason #3: People who already receive the email love it
That’s right, I know you’ve been missing out but there are hundreds who have been getting my emails for years, and if the retention rates and random feedback I have received are any indication, it’s pretty well received :)
Reason #4: You’ll get my latest book updates!
That’s right, I’m working on my next book! And I’ll only be sharing updates on it in my weekly newsletter. My first book (The 5-Day Turnaround) has done really well, and I’m eager to get another crack at this book-writing thing.
And you’re going to love the next book, its about…well, I guess you’ll have to subscribe to find that out… #gotcha
Reason #5: You like me :)
Ok, this one is (again) a bit self-serving, but if you enjoy my content (which is free of course, unless you’ve bought my book online), then I’d love it if you would try out the newsletter. I spend a good deal of time writing and sharing free content, so I’d like you, my friend, my confidant, my buddy, to do me a favor and sign up. And look, worse-case, it’s super easy (thanks, Mailchimp!) to unsubscribe.
So what are you waiting for already, let’s do this!
* in my posts and updates, I’ll actually show you how to embrace and love email rather than hate it. Seriously. No, for reals.
