Consider these two Atlanta nonprofits on #GivingTuesday
#GivingTuesday is a terrific global cause, focused on helping nonprofits raise money after Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Here is what the site says about the initiative:
#GivingTuesday is a global day of giving fueled by the power of social media and collaboration.
Celebrated on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving (in the U.S.) and the widely recognized shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday, #GivingTuesday kicks off the charitable season, when many focus on their holiday and end-of-year giving.
On this #GivingTuesday 2017, I’d love for you to consider two Atlanta nonprofits that are close to my heart.
Central Outreach & Advocacy Center – Donate
Central OAC is an Atlanta nonprofit located in downtown Atlanta with a mission to open doors out of homelessness. I’m currently the Board Chair for this nonprofit, and it does such good in the community that I hope you’ll consider helping with a donation!
48in48 – Donate
48in48 is a nonprofit that I co-founded in 2015 with Adam Walker. The organization puts on hackathon-style events in cities across the globe (London next year!), bringing together several hundred volunteers in a city to build 48 nonprofit websites in 48 hours. This year we had events in Boston, Minneapolis, New York, and Atlanta.
