I’m so excited about this! On March 2nd I am going to be interviewing Charles Brewer in a fireside chat. Charles, as many of you know, is one of the first startup successes in Atlanta, founding MindSpring in 1994. I’ve become friends with Charles over the last year and he has some awesome stories to tell. He almost never speaks at events like this, so its a real treat that he agreed to do it.
And we’ll be hosting the event at one of my favorite Atlanta venues, the Center for Civic Innovation. If you haven’t seen this amazing space, you’re missing out! I’m also excited to say the event is free, and we’ll be hoping that attendees agree to support the charity we’re promoting, re:imagine/ATL.

Jeff Hilimire (CEO, Dragon Army) will interview Charles Brewer on March 2nd to learn the keys to his success. Mr. Brewer is one of Atlanta’s first startup success stories, bringing to life one of the largest ISP’s in the country from his Midtown Atlanta apartment in 1994. With MindSpring, Mr. Brewer led a different kind of company, one that started with a list of core values instead of a list of products. He will discuss the decisions that led to the EarthLink merger, one of the largest and most talked about events of its day, as well as his thoughts on today’s startup landscape. His experience and reflections are a great inspiration for entrepreneurs in all sectors.
