4 questions answered by successful entrepreneurs: Part 4
One of the participants in Advice For Good, after donating an hour of time to a charity and then blogging about it on the AFG website, asked me if she could ask the list of advisors four questions to help her with her startup. What a great way to use the AFG community! Because each question has many answers, I’ll share these over time so its not too overwhelming of a blog post.
Question #4:
What apps/software/processes would you recommend to a new entrepreneur to plan or document his/her work?
– Evernote for documentation. Quickbooks Online combined with Harvest and Basecamp for services firms. And of course Google Apps for Business for everything else.
– Evernote for idea tracking.
– Evernote!
– Google apps is about all you need.
– Google apps.
– Google docs/spreadsheets, Evernote for notes on the go, boomerang for sending email into the future.
– We do almost everything on Google Docs/Apps, and this has been fantastic! Also I like Sidekick by Hub spot, Calendly, SalesLoft (and Cadence), Infusionsoft, and The List.
– WordPress.
– I haven’t found a good application that does this. Microsoft project is too complicated.
– None. Just find a good problem to solve and make something that people want.
