4 questions answered by successful entrepreneurs: Part 3
One of the participants in Advice For Good, after donating an hour of time to a charity and then blogging about it on the AFG website, asked me if she could ask the list of advisors four questions to help her with her startup. What a great way to use the AFG community! Because each question has many answers, I’ll share these over time so its not too overwhelming of a blog post.
Question #3:
Are there books or blogs or networking forums that you would recommend to people starting a firm?
– David Cummings blog, of course. Matt Blumberg Only Once.
– Davidcummings.org, Tony Robbins’ books, The Greatest Salesman in the World (book).
– Depending on your business, there is a nice list here: http://www.atlantatechblogs.com/blogs/. Of course many of those blogs are not relevant. I particularly like Jeff Hilimire, David Cummings, Johnson Cook, and JoeKoufman.com. Also, here are a few blogs for new businesses.
– Founders At Work is an excellent book with interviews of several startups from the last decade. The author is now part of Y-Combinator.
– venturehacks.com, hackernews.com.
– LinkedIn Groups.
– I think the best thing you can do is just figure it out.
