Question from a startup CEO: What are the top 3 books you would recommend I read right now?

The CEO of a young company asked me this week what the three books I’d recommend he read right now. Without hesitation, I said:

Moneyball: The Art of Winning an Unfair Game by Michael Lewis – And no, it doesn’t count if you’ve seen the movie. This book will make you think differently about everything, but certainly business. If you want to attack an industry from a new angle, this is the book for you.

Steve Jobs by Walter Isaacson – This book will make you want to be a badass CEO. 

Delivering Happiness by Tony Hsieh – This book will make you want to build an amazing, long-term culture. 

Each of these books are great, fast reads, and each changed the way I run companies.
