I’m excited and disappointed all at the same time #Engauge
On the one hand, we won a great new piece of business today that I’m thrilled about. Our team worked so hard for this one and to win in an extremely competitive situation is always a great accomplishment.
On the other hand, we had a fund raiser for Junior Achievement today – sort of a garage sale type of thing – and one of the things I donated was not purchased. Not even for $15.
If I need to explain why this disappoints me, then I’m disappointed in you too :)
Maybe because everyone already had it in their collection? #optimism
maybe becuase $15 is a bit of a ripoff? ;)
Ah DB, I remember when you used to work at Engauge…prior to that comment…
I’m juut sayin’ as a seasoned (as of last week) yardsale pro, that $15 is on the steep side. You have to let go of the emotional value of the item. No one pays your for your taste, Jeff. (well, maybe they do, IDK how things roll down south yet)
A) You’ll know soon what its like in the south and b) I guess that’s why you don’t see Apple products at yard sales – they’re too badass ala Arrested Development. A whole season for $15! That’s a bargain. Plus it wasn’t in a yard, it was in an office building with presumably tons of rich people :)
Some of us own all three seasons…. Don’t let the bastards get you down.
On a good note (?) people bought my old picture frames! ;)
Or maybe they were so stunned that someone would actually part with such a wonderful piece of television history that out of sheer principle they simply refused to purchase it.
The most likely scenario is that everyone that saw this item said, “I’ll have to remember to pirate that when I get home.”
It’s obvious why it didn’t sell … it’s DVD. I’m a HUGE Arrested Development fan, but I haven’t owned a DVD in many many years.
You should have at least bought it out of pride for the show. It was sitting there next to some old golf club covers and an old comb. #sosad
