48in48 goes international…

Four years ago, Adam and I concocted this crazy idea to try to pull off a hackathon over a weekend, building 48 nonprofit websites in 48 hours with a hundred of our closest friends in Atlanta. We decided to call it 48in48.

Fast-forward to today, and this past weekend we just finished our first international event – London! This was our 6th event of the year, and 13th since we got started. And, if you’re good at math, that’s 624 websites built for nonprofits, and over $20 million in donated services!!!

What a journey we’ve been on so far! And we’re only just beginning. We now have seven years to be able to pull off 48 events running simultaneously around the globe. We got this :)

IBM was our host in London, and it couldn’t have been a better location. Right on the Thames, close to the London Eye. It was a little chilly that first night…

Teams hard at work…

Two of our rock-stars!

The IBM space was a PERFECT setup for our event.

Group selfie time!

Celebrating after pulling off our first international event!!!
