Breaking down the Great Game of Business

“I will never run a business again without a version of the Great Game of Business.”

I say that a lot these days. The Great Game of Business is a concept that allows you to run your company the way that a sports team is run – where everyone knows the big goal, is aware of the score, understands how they can contribute to winning, and they are all rewarded together.

Dragon Army has been running on the Great Game of Business for a year, and its completely transformed how I believe companies should be managed.

It only took me 20 years of running companies to realize the importance of this (yikes).

The Great Game can be a concept that is difficult for someone to grasp initially – but once you get it, you really get it – so I thought I’d record some audio where I talk it out with a friend who is just starting the process up for his business.

It is so nice to hear about your take on the Great Game and especially applying it to a nonprofit. I always say, “No money, no mission.” I did a 15 minute talk at the Gathering of the Games (the Great Game’s National Conference) on applying the Great Game to the social sectors.
