My entrepreneurial journey, on a slide

I gave a presentation (How to embrace your inner startup) yesterday to the marketing team of a large company. Goes hand-in-hand with the book I’m writing (working title: Thrive), so when I was asked to give a talk on that topic I was thrilled to accept.

I usually don’t spend time on an “about me” slide in presentations, but given the context of the talk, I thought I needed to share my journey as an entrepreneur so that the audience had more context. Also so they didn’t think I was just making stuff up ;)

I was trying to think of a way to have fun with that slide, so I decided to tell my story via pictures. I am sure I left several important things out, but these shots allowed me to tell the story and hit all the major points. It was obviously a build (presentation-speak for, I clicked and pictures popped up), but here is the end result:
