LeaderSLIP + Success Summit

Next week I have the great opportunity to be a keynote speaker at the 2016 Success Summit in Athens on March 31st. I have the closing keynote spot, at 4pm, if anyone can make it. Oh, and I have a fancy promo code that will get you into the event at a big discount: sign up link (use code: hilimire2016).

What’s fun about this event is that it’s focused on how failures can lead to success. Secretly for the past few years I’ve wanted to write a book called LeaderSLIP (I even bought the domain) and it will be chock full of stories from entrepreneurs and how they failed their way to success. Or put another way, how they’ve slipped along the way to achieving great things.

I also decided for the first time that I will bring my 11-year old to the event to attend some sessions with me and hear my talk. I know that my kids will grow up being comfortable with the idea of entrepreneurship, which I think gives them a leg up should they ever decided to pursue that path. For me, working in my father’s small business growing up (filling vending machines) helped me tremendously, though I didn’t realize it at the time. But I think having Zac be around the event to soak up all the entrepreneurial goodness will make for an impactful day in his young life.

I’m excited to essentially “launch” the LeaderSLIP concept next week and (hoping) it spurs me on to finally putting pen to paper (or fingers to keyboard I suppose) to start the book process.
