The idea isn’t the thing. Working hard is the thing.

Gary says it all the time. Tobias talks about it on this great blog post, Ignore Everybody.

Ideas are a dime a dozen. Getting things done – actually executing on your idea – that’s where the magic happens.

If you want to be successful at anything, especially at being an entrepreneur, you have to execute and work relentlessly. Your idea really doesn’t matter. It really doesn’t.

Hopefully, your idea is great. If its not, but you’re working your tail off, then you’ll figure out what needs to change with your idea and you’ll make it happen.

Zuck wasn’t the first person to think of a social network. He just did it better. Larry and Sergey didn’t invent the search engine. They just did it better.

Everyone has an idea. Or 12. Almost no one is willing, or able in some cases, to put in the work.

The idea isn’t the thing. Working hard is the thing.

I observe the simple desires of others, people playing the jackpot pokies, people selling ‘Mary Jane’ ,on gameshows ect ect.
I must say it’s confusing companies plant an idea seed and countless times they say it’s easy and convenient. Fair enough
to get to the proprietor or financial entity. Nothing could be further from the truth from the get go when you get there.
Secondly all of us from grade 1 are relentlessly told in every subject throughout 10years “ show your working” if your wrong
You… find your mistake…..do it again. All of us have heard from our parents , “if told you once I told you a thousand times…..then
we get told that the validity of our proposal is insufficient, ….mmmm No. proposal is declined and that’s before we get our 1st job.
Well the strangers on t.v did tell them turn up and we’ll just give you want you want and they’ll do the work for us in a 30sec clip.
Maybe you can help to unravel the logic of people, that’s what I struggle with. Thankyou
