The morning setup – iPad, bluetooth keyboard and coffee

I’ll be writing more about this later in the week, but essentially I’m moving into 2012 with a bit of a laptop-less setup. The increased capabilities of the iPad 2, the improvement of the apps that allow me to “work”, and the incredible difference that a bluetooth keyboard makes to actually get things done, have changed my use of computers pretty drastically.

I’m trying to do the same, but am having a hard time working without a mouse when working on docs, presentations, etc. Has that been a problem for you?

I’ve loved using the iPad 2 and the bluetooth keyboard and haven’t had a problem not using a mouse.  That’s probably because I stopped using a mouse a while back, preferring the Apple trackpad when using a computer or the built-in track pad on the laptop.

While I’ve done a fair amount of word processing on the iPad, I haven’t had to do much presentation creation or manipulation.  I imagine I’d find that to be a little more problematic without a mouse or trackpad.

Do you have the bluetooth keyboard for the iPad. It makes an incredible difference. Before I tried that, I really wasn’t able to use the iPad effectively for “work”.

Just moved to a similar setup last week. Not looking back in 2012.

Did you go to a bluetooth keyboard as well? Man that changed everything for me, I LOVE this device now.

It’s a combo case/bluetooth keyboard from Targus. I like it very much. Good action/spacing for it’s size and most keys are where I expect them to be.
