Books I recommend

Here are some of the books I recommend.  I’ve learned a tremendous amount from reading these books and I always appreciate hearing what other people read, so I thought I’d put up my favorites for anyone interested.

AdVenture: An Outsider’s View of Getting an Entrepreneur to Market (here’s my review of this amazing book)

Drive: The Surprising Truth About What Motivates Us (amazing book for anyone that wants to create a work environment to help their staff reach their full potential)

Delivering Happiness (great story of Tony Hsieh’s journey with LinkExchange and

Founders at Work: Stories of Startups’ Early Days (the best startup book I’ve ever read)

Ender’s Game (incredible, recommended to me by @ryanptuttle)

The Art of the Start: The Time-Tested, Battle-Hardened Guide for Anyone Starting Anything (a must read by Guy)

Wisdom For A Young CEO (great collection of letters by established CEO’s on advice for the entrepreneur)

Groundswell: Winning in a World Transformed by Social Technologies (suggested by @stanrapp)

Moneyball: The Art of Winning an Unfair Game (this book will make you think differently, I guarantee)

I Feel Great and You Will Too! by Pat Croce.  If you want to start being a more positive person, this is the book for you.

Where Peachtree Meets Sweet Auburn by Gary M. Pomerantz, described as “A rich history of the changing South told through the stories of two prominent Atlanta families, one white, one black.”

Suggest you add — “groundswell — winning in a world transformed by social technologies.” Loaded with case studies. Very well written by two Forrester Research principals.

I noticed you liked Seth Godin’s Poke the Box so I assume you read Linchpin as well. If you didn’t read it. It changed me life and woke me up to the realities of work in the 21st century.

Thanks Tod, I did reach Linchpin and probably need to add it to this list as well…
