We become who we invite into the company

Continuing on the lines of a recent post, The Most Important Job I Have as CEO, and reflecting on the amazing company cruise we just took Dragon Army on (more pics coming soon,) I wanted to bring up a Truett Cathy quote I heard recently. He was interviewing Steve Robinson (former, and first, CMO) and, in talking to him about the importance of the interview process at Chick-fil-A, he said:

“We become who we invite into the company.”

That is so incredibly spot on.

Dragon Army is a group of people that work together to build remarkable products and experiences in the digital space. All we ARE is our people.

We’re about 18 full-timers now, and growing fast. I couldn’t be happier that this is the group that we are building the company around, and they’re all bought in on our Vision, Tenets, and Values (VTV). And they know that everyone we invite into our company, is who we will eventually become.
