My podcast interview on the Design Movement podcast: What’s not going to change in the next 10 years

My good friend and Leadership Atlanta* classmate, Dr. Brett Jacobsen, asked me to be on his Design Movement podcast. Dr. Jacobsen is the Head of School for Mount Vernon Presbyterian School, and I’ve been following his podcast since he started it.

We had a great conversation and you can download the podcast here.

Some things we talked about:

When asked what isn’t going to change in MY world (building mobile experiences at Dragon Army): People will continue to want more simplicity and for technology “get out of the way”. Rather than searching for disruption, search for what people want today and build on that.

Content (writing, games, podcasts, etc.) will probably need to continue to be free, because people have grown accustomed to it. Focusing on how to monetize content will continue to be key.

Why Kodak missed the boat, and how Amazon is starting to.

How Dragon Army approaches business strategy and culture.

What’s the DNA of an innovator?

How to run effective meetings. Or as I like to say, how to run from meetings.

* Leadership Atlanta changed my life. Here’s how.
