Last night’s Advice For Good event was amazing
Last night was a perfect example of why I created Advice For Good. We had our kick-off event and I was blown away by the support from everyone who attended. And the Atlanta Community Food Bank was an INCREDIBLE host! We kicked off with an intimate startup talk with Sanjay Parekh and Ed Trimble where they went back and forth telling stories about their early startup days. It was easily one of my favorite talks as they batted around questions like, “What’s the worst meeting you ever had?”, “What was the craziest thing that ever happened to you/your business?”, etc.
After the talk, the entire group of us went and spent a few hours sorting food for the Food Bank. Let me tell you, their operation is incredible. They send out over 40 million lbs. of food each year to people in need. I was excited because by the end of the night as we had sorted 4,808 lbs. of food ourselves!
For more of the conversation around the event, follow the hashtag #adviceforgood. And thanks to Julie, Richard, Sarah, Allison and all the other ACFB people that helped us pull this off!
Jeff, it was our great pleasure to host the #adviceforgood crew. Anyone who can sort 4,800 lbs of food in a shift is welcome here anytime!
