Better times with my Samsung Galaxy S4

Things have been going so well lately with my Samsung Galaxy S4 (Verizon) that I thought I owed it to…the phone I guess…to write a follow up to this post and this post where I vented about all the problems I’ve had with it.

I’m guessing, though I haven’t fully researched it, that Samsung came out with a software update that took care of some of the problems I was experiencing, mainly app crashes, screen freezes and general total system lock downs. I was having to restart my phone at least every two days whereas now I rarely ever have to.

A few weeks ago when I was still experiencing those issues I was pretty sure I was going to switch to the MotoX when it came out. But after seeing the specs from the announcement last week and comparing them to the S4, I think I’m going to stay. I’m even going to stay – for now – with the Samsung software vs rooting my phone and installing the Google Edition OS on it, mainly because of the terrific camera software that comes on this device. Though I’ll change when they figure out how to have that along with the Google Edition OS.

Update: Since I wrote this over the weekend, I have had to uninstall Locket because it kept causing my phone to lock up. Urg.

What about you? What Android phone do you have and are you considering the MotoX?

I am on the fence about Moto X or not. I keep thinking to myself – is this really a huge improvement over my S3, which is very reliable.
